(Side-note first: When I first ordered the above Sigg, it arrived with a dent on the side. In case you have ever wondered about Amazon returns, the whole process was so easy and Amazon shipped me a replacement very quickly. This aforementioned note ties in with my review below.)

I know that Siggs get mixed reviews. I also know that Amazon has this Sigg for a great price. I had checked both Targets in my area and Earth Fare (a natural grocery store) for cool Siggs, but all they had in stock were Siggs with yoga-ish images on them; images that do not fit my seven-year-old. And let's face it- HK rules. Anyway, I checked out the Sigg website to get the whole "leak-proof" scoop. And since I had the first dented Sigg in my clutches, I experimented with it by filling it up with vod- oops, I mean water...and turning it upside-down for a bit to see if it leaked. It didn't. So, as you know, I sent back the damaged Sigg and Amazon sent out my replacement. So, did we all live happily ever after with castles and princes, and our Sigg acting as the maid-of-honor? Uh, not really. After about two and a half weeks of use my daughter had placed her Sigg on its side in her backpack and it leaked. I was surprised; I just figured it was too much for the Sigg to take as the apple juice inside was about two days old (school was dismissed early and the kids didn't have snack; she puts the Sigg in a fridge at school, so I assumed the juice would be O.K., please don't call CPS), but I guessed that maybe it leaked due to possible apple juice gases that had formed inside the Sigg. Well, it happened again yesterday...I discovered the Sigg on its side in my daughter's backpack, but this time it did not have possibly explosive juice in it, so what gives? When I had checked the Sigg website it stated that leakage might occur to a damaged seal, but our seal is perfectly fine and intact. The website did not state anything about leakage if the bottle is in a certain position (e.g.upside-down, sideways); one would think that is why Sigg produced and touts a leak-proof bottle, because who the heck has time to constantly police the position of their water bottle?! Hey- I know what you're thinking...that my rugrat did not screw the lid on tight either time. Guess what? I checked, and she had screwed the lid on snugly. Wish I could say she was her usual breeze-by-responsibility-self in these above cases, but alas, I cannot. So disappointed that we are stuck with a leaky Sigg with no little Dutch boy in sight...

This is a great water bottle. I bought it after I purchased another one that I loved. It's durable. It's been dropped many times by my toddler. There is a slight dent from one of the drops, but no cracks, chipping or scratches. It hasn't leaked at all. The lip of the bottle is very comfortable to drink from; it really forms to your lips. I noticed this right away; it's much different than any other water bottle I've owned.

This unit is all one could expect from an economical surface-mount fixture. I installed it in my kitchen in less than 20 minutes. It easily accommodated three compact fluorescent bulbs, giving me ample light at an energy savings. As an apartment dweller, I was not about to invest in anything pricey, so this unit served perfectly.

The only hard part of installation was getting the 2 screws through the substantial insulation layer, and into the top's holes, to lock in the fixture. This fixture about doubled the amount of light from the same 3 compact fluorescent bulbs that previously had only ceiling paint to reflect the light. This fixture has a polished aluminum surface to reflect the light down and the glass transmits the light very well. The fixture is also enclosed, so bugs shouldn't accumulate in the bowl. The insulation is for incandescent use, so I'm quite sure that its over-engineered for CFL heat output.
When we purchased the ALZO Digital photo CFL's, the light from the 3 new bulbs seemed to double again. They are great for kitchen and bathroom use, as the color rendering index is >91!. The new, bigger bulbs were a tight fit, but the glass cover gets as warm as they do (the ceiling stays cool), so I don't think it matters that they touch.
I've already bought 2 of the 11" 2-light fixtures for the bedrooms.

Our 8 year old wanted a copter. Didn't see the need to spend a lot of money for an 8 year old, so we decided on this toy. She liked how tiny it was and that a travel pack was included. Operation of the copter was a breeze for her. I was actually suprised by how much of a beating this toy took and still kept working. So if you want a cheap copter that can take a beating and provide a little entertainment, then this is the product for you.

-The box for this toy says that it's for 8-10 year olds. I searched and searched for a beginner helicopter for my son so that he could have one just like his father. But most, if not all, had horrible reviews. So with some trepidation, I purchased this for my son. And he loves it! He's actually pretty good at it and gets better each times he flies it. Granted there are a lot of crashes. But this toy holds up! I recommend it. It's small but it does very well, regardless. And he's 4.

This PB is very tasty. My pre-schoolers eat it out of the jar -- a jar each! I love supporting organic farmers, and I hope that O Organics truly is so (not just growing peanuts on pre-sprayed, pesticide-heavy land.) Barring any knowledge about that, I will keep buying it. (And my only complaint is that it's in plastic jars -- wish they could do in glass jars.)

If you're looking for a truly all-natural crunchy peanut butter with no sweeteners added, this one should be at the top of your list. It's made from organic dry-roasted peanuts and sea salt, and has no other added ingredients.

At this price, this peanut butter is a great deal and it tastes great too. The only pure, all-natural peanut butter that I have ever liked better than this one is the Whole Foods 365 brand crunchy organic peanut butter.

A couple of things to know about this peanut butter:

1. As is typical with all-natural peanut butter, the peanut oil separates easily from the rest of the peanut butter.

2. It is a product of Canada, which is the reason that I gave it four stars instead of five. I really wish that more foods were still produced in the USA. For goodness sake, even peanut butter, which is just about the most
American food that I can think of, is produced outside of the USA? This is just a personal pet peeve of mine, but I'm passing along this info just in case any of you share my opinion.
